Col (Ret) Mary Gillam was my Director of Information Technology and the CIO for the Air Logistics Center at Tinker AFB, OK.  She is a servant leader, who focused on the employees, ensuring they had what they needed to be successful. Col Gillam took the time to walk around and talk to her employees treating them with respect while asking questions to understand what they do in order to provide better support for them.  She empowered her employees which allowed them to bring their best and be autonomous in their decision making. Col Gillam listened to her employees and ensured that each voice was heard while providing a clear vision and mission of where she wanted the organization to go.
